More than just getting your feet off the floor.
Crow Pose isn't simply about having strong arms. It's about understanding how your whole body works together to create balance. When you understand the relationship between your hands, shoulders, hips and centre of gravity, you have a much clearer idea of what you're working towards.
I'll take you through the key elements step by step, so you can develop the skills behind the posture rather than relying on trial and error.

Beyond
Your worries, answered.
“I’m not flexible enough for crow.”
You don't need to be particularly flexible to start working towards Crow. We'll focus on compression, which is your ability to actively draw your thighs towards your torso and create a more compact position. You'll learn how to develop this alongside the other foundations of the posture.
“I can't seem to lift my feet off the floor.”
You'll learn how to position your shoulders and hips to transfer your centre of gravity over your hands. We'll break this down into controlled weight shifts and one-foot lifts, so you can build towards lifting both feet without simply trying to jump into the posture.
“My wrists feel uncomfortable.”
We'll cover how to prepare your wrists for the extension and loading involved in Crow Pose, with simple mobilisation and gradual weight-bearing exercises. You'll also learn how to recognise when to reduce the load or stop rather than pushing through discomfort.
“I’m worried about falling forwards.”
That's a common feeling when you're first learning to balance on your hands. I'll show you how to approach the weight transfer gradually, and build confidence with controlled progressions.
“I can’t balance.”
We'll look at how your hands, shoulders, hips and centre of gravity work together to create balance. You'll learn how to stay active through your fingers, maintain compression and make small adjustments to find a more controlled hold.
“I don’t have enough upper body strength.”
Crow requires active support through your shoulders and upper back, but it's not just about having strong arms. You'll learn how to develop shoulder stability, push the floor away and create a more supported position through your upper body.
What you'll learn.

Meet Ben
The Yogi Behind The Course
I didn't come to yoga for the handstands. I found it during a difficult period in my life, when I needed to take a step back, reflect and look at things differently.
Yoga helped me move from days when I struggled to get out of bed to finding the strength to stand upside down and, more importantly, the ability to stay aware through it all.
It had such a profound impact on me, both physically and mentally, that I made a commitment to dedicate myself to becoming the best teacher I could be, so I could help others discover what's possible through yoga.
My teaching brings together movement, anatomy, strength and yoga philosophy, with a focus on understanding the why behind what you're practising.
I particularly enjoy breaking down more challenging postures and making the techniques behind them accessible, giving you the knowledge and confidence to develop your own practice.
That's the approach behind this masterclass: clear explanations, useful progressions and practical tools you can keep coming back to long after you've finished the videos.
Good to know.
-
Not at all. The course is designed to help you build towards your first Crow Pose, starting with the foundations and working through the technique step by step.
-
You don't need to be particularly strong to get started but. the drills I provide are what you need to progress. Crow Pose relies on more than arm strength. We'll look at shoulder stability, upper-back engagement and how to distribute your weight effectively.
-
Just a yoga mat and a little space to practise. A cushion or folded blanket can be useful to place in front of you while you're getting comfortable with balancing.
-
They range from less than a minute to 30 minutes. The course is broken into three chapters with focused lessons, so you can work through the foundations, practise the posture and revisit the areas you need to improve without having to sit through hours of content.
-
Send me a video of yourself practising and I'll personally review it. I'll give you tailored feedback on your technique, explain what might be holding you back and suggest what to work on next. That's part of my Take Flight Guarantee.
-
Yes. It's a single payment of £19, with lifetime access to all three lessons and the accompanying guide. No subscriptions or recurring fees.
-
If you're not happy within 30 days, simply email me and I'll give you a full refund. No questions, no hard feelings.
